Welcome Statement - IAMFT Past-President, Kurt Gregory, MS, LMFT
Thank you for visiting the homepage of Indiana’s premier providers of Mental Health Services. While Marriage and Family Therapists are expertly trained to provide services to Couples and Families, we also provide counseling and therapy services for a wide variety of issues to children, adolescents, individuals, adults, school, corporations, and government entities.
We can do this by being trained in systems theory, at both the Masters and Doctoral level, at an accredited higher education institution and then obtaining licensure through the Behavioral Health Board of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. This licensing process is rigorous and requires at least 1000 hours of direct “in-session” client hours and 200 hours of supervision, of which 100 hours must be individual supervision. There is also a test provided by the Association of Marital & Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB-https://amftrb.org/) that one must pass prior to becoming licensed, which is used to assess one's clinical skills to work with couples and families.
This website is designed to provide information for our members and the public, who may be seeking the services of, or more information about, a Marriage and Family Therapist. Please explore the site to find out more about us! However, if you have any questions, comments, or ideas, please feel free to contact your area board member, our office staff, or myself.
